Fund Development Committee

Members:
The Fund Development Committee shall be responsible for developing and recommending fund-raising projects to the Board of Directors and then to the general membership given the approval of the Board.
Membership Development Committee
Chairperson: Jonathan Thomas
Members: Clarisse Durnell, Roslyn Williamson, Bobby Cowan, John Pelfrey.
The Membership Development Committee shall be responsible for developing and recommending activities to increase membership for consideration by the Board.
Social Committee
Chairperson: Jeannie Johnson
Members: Jim Skinner, Debbie Gulley, Ashley Montas, John Pelfrey, Patricia Griggs.
The Social Committee shall be responsible for developing and recommending social and recreational activities for the enjoyment of the membership for consideration by the Board. The committee plans and organizes the monthly dinner club outings and other social outings.
Priorities Advocacy Committee
Chairperson: Katie Smith
Members: Rita Hutton, Carlos Montas, Carol Francisco, John Pelfrey.
The Priorities Advocacy Committee shall be responsible for developing, recommending, and submitting to the Board:
- Projects which will inform and educate the general public about the capabilities and accomplishments of blind and visually impaired persons.
- Outreach efforts to make blind and visually impaired persons aware of the existence and purpose of MTCB.
Legislative Committee
Chairperson: Rita Hutton
Members: Dan Dillon, Cary Johnson, Carlos Montas.
The legislative committee shall be responsible for reporting to the membership on legislation affecting blind and visually impaired persons. It shall also recommend to the Board of Directors specific actions to be taken by MTCB.
Subsidy Committee
Chairperson: Jeannie Johnson
Members: Beth Crabb, Katie Smith, Cary Johnson, Michael Fulghum.
This committee recommends MTCB activities for which members may receive subsidies. This committee establishes the amount to be given for each function, subject to the approval of the membership.
